First Add-On Options Now Available

Gallifrey One, together with our sponsor partners Showmasters Events and Convention Photo Shoots, features a broad variety of optional add-on packages and passes to enhance your visit to our convention, and 2025 will be no exception.  These add-on items are sold by Convention Photo Shoots (via EventBrite) and carry a small processing fee in addition to the price.

The very first offerings are now available at the Convention Photo Shoots website, and include the following; please note that the EventBrite fees are incorporated into the costs already on the order form:

  • TARDIS Tag: Includes an autograph and photoshoot with all of Showmasters Events’ Doctor Who sponsored guests; exclusive daytime meet & greets with Sylvester McCoy and Colin Baker (16th floor lounge); a special photo shoot and gift; limited edition print; and more.  This includes priority access to the autograph/photo lines for the guests included (currently Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy, Jenna Coleman, Catherine Tate, David Gooderson and Susan Twist.)
  • Jenna Coleman Diamond Pass: Includes one autograph, one standard photoshoot and one green screen photoshoot with Ms. Coleman, as well as an exclusive print, gift, and other items.
  • Catherine Tate Diamond Pass: Includes one autograph, one standard photoshoot and one green screen photoshoot with Ms. Tate, as well as an exclusive print, gift, and other items.
  • Photo Ops: Convention Photo Shoots manages our photo studio and offers pre-orders on photo ops with many of our featured guests throughout the weekend.  Our first photo op shoots with Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy, Jenna Coleman, Catherine Tate, David Gooderson and Susan Twist are available for purchase now.  Additional photo ops will be added closer to the convention as we work out contracts for photos (please note that these pre-orders are for convenience; you can also purchase photo ops on site at the Photo Studio.)

Additional add-on options will be added in the months to come, including script reading sessions with Tate and Coleman, other private meet & greets, photo ops with our other guests (including guests yet to be announced), and tickets for our evening guest receptions.  Keep checking back throughout the year as we get closer to the convention.

IMPORTANT: All of our guests appear on the Gallifrey One main stage each of the days they are in attendance at the convention as part of our main program; access to these stage appearances is included in the cost of convention admission.  Script readings, meet & greet sessions and evening guest receptions do not take the place of their general convention appearance; they only enhance your experience.

Art Show Space Reservations Open September 21

We are happy to announce that space reservations for the 2025 Gallifrey One Art Show will be opening on Saturday September 21 at 10:00am Pacific Time (1:00pm Eastern, 6:00pm UK.)  Space reservations for artists’ work will be via a form linked to by our website that will be posted that day.

The Gallifrey One Art Show returns for a glorious thirty-fifth year of fantastic artwork from all over the cosmos. A mainstay of the Gallifrey One conventions, the Art Show is a visual feast, with both Doctor Who and science fiction and fantasy illustration in many forms (paintings, drawings, sculpture, etc.), much of it available for purchase on site or at the Sunday morning Art Show Auction.

As always, Art Show space is available in units of panels or half tables. A panel is 3’ wide by 4’ high, and is made of pegboard. Materials for hanging artwork will be provided by the convention. Table space is approximately 3’ long by 2.5’ deep, half a standard hotel table.  Each unit of Art Show space is $20.00.  Print shop space is also available.  (We do not have an Artists’ Alley due to space limitations; this is only for the display of materials.)

Important: Gallifrey One will NOT accept any artwork generated by artificial intelligence (AI), nor any work whose creation is assisted by AI. Artificial intelligence primarily uses the work of other artists to generate imagery, and Gallifrey One does not support the reuse or modification of any artist’s original creative work.

Full details about the show, including rules and regulations for artists as well as what to expect during the event, can be found on our Art Show page.

Discussion Panel & TARDIS Talks Submissions Open

As of today, we have opened the Discussion Panel Suggestion Form and our call for the TARDIS Talks program track for our 2025 convention.

Gallifrey One’s Discussion Panel track is incredibly lively and a lot of fun, with a mixture of both professionals as well as fan attendees making their cases on everything from Doctor Who to science fiction and fantasy TV & film, comics, gaming, conventions and much more. As always, we are looking for ideas and topics for discussions that can be led by a panel of your fellow attendees and enjoyed by anyone wishing to attend.  Interactive events such as these that involve you, our attendees — like the Discussion Panel track — are what make this a convention instead of a show.  Our discussion panels are always lively, and often packed to capacity – one of the highlights of the weekend for a lot of people.

Additionally, the TARDIS Talks program at Gallifrey One offers a different type of fan discussion at our convention… not just for academics, but also for fans who want to discuss topics about Doctor Who in greater depth. Rather than a traditional discussion panel, TARDIS Talks offer speakers a longer time to speak (ten to fifteen minutes) about a topic they’re passionate about, with a discussion after all the speakers. In addition, the TARDIS Talks feature an invited Keynote Speaker each year. You can find more detail about the TARDIS Talks track, as well as information about the presentations from the last several years, at this link: TARDIS Talks page.

The deadline for discussion panel suggestions is October 31, 2024, while the deadline for TARDIS Talks submissions is November 15, 2024.

Links to each submission form are below, along with the following notes:

Discussion Panel Suggestion Form

  • Please use the form for submitting one panel topic or idea; if you have multiple topic suggestions, you can fill out the form an additional time.
  • This is for discussion panel suggestions only.  Do not use this form to submit a presentation you wish to make or organize for the convention; panel ideas that require you to be the primary or only speaker; or anything related to any guest participation, confirmed or requested.  Those should be emailed to us via the Contact Us page.
  • We will not take requests to be on panels until after we publish the list of 2025 discussion panel topics, which will be shared in November.
  • Submission of a panel idea authorizes us to use all or part of your suggestion; we reserve the right to modify these ideas to fit our theme.
  • Submission of a panel idea does not guarantee the participation of the person submitting, but we do try to put people on their suggested panels if available.
  • Finally, you must have a paid ticket to the convention to participate on or attend a panel; we don’t offer free admission.

TARDIS Talks

  • Please submit a 200-300 word presentation proposal via the form. Our TARDIS Talks administrators will read through the submitted proposals and organize the accepted ones onto panels, and then work with the convention organizers on the final list.
  • Participants must have a paid ticket to the convention to participate on or attend a TARDIS Talk; we don’t offer free admission.
