We are delighted to announce that CATHERINE TATE will be returning to Gallifrey One for our upcoming 2025 convention, Gallifrey One in 35 Millimetre!

Multi award-winning actor and writer, Catherine Tate is well known in the UK and internationally for a diversity of work in television, film and on the stage – in particular, for her own creation, The Catherine Tate Show.  But of course, Doctor Who fans worldwide know her better as Donna Noble, companion to the Tenth Doctor and one of the most iconic characters in the series since its return in 2005.  Tate made her first appearance as the jilted bride in the Christmas special, “The Runaway Bride,” opposite David Tennant.  She joined him as his companion for Series Four and for the two-part “End of Time” specials, ending with Tennant’s regeneration. In 2023, they reprised their roles in three Doctor Who specials: “The Star Beast,” “Wild Blue Yonder” and “The Giggle,” which were broadcast on the BBC in the UK and on Disney+ internationally and commemorated the show’s 60th anniversary. In between the television series, Catherine can also be heard playing Donna alongside David Tennant in multiple audio adventures for Big Finish Productions.  The two played opposite each other again as Beatrice and Benedick in an acclaimed production of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing in London’s West End.

Tate is also known to US audiences for playing Nellie Bertram in seasons seven, eight and nine of The Office. She co-wrote and appeared as her alter ego, Nan, in the full length feature film, The Nan Movie in 2022.  She is the voice of Magica De Spell in Disney’s reboot Duck Tales series and of Baba Yaga in Monster Family and Monster Family 2.  She wrote, directed and played multiple characters in the Netflix comedy Hard Cell and last year the first season of her new show, Queen Of Oz, aired on BBC and in Australia and New Zealand. The show won best new sitcom of 2023 and she won best comedy performer voted for by the UK public. She has most recently been back on stage in The Enfield Haunting in London’s West End.

Catherine Tate visited Gallifrey One in 2019 and returns in 2025 courtesy our partners at Showmasters Events.  She will be appearing at the convention on Friday & Saturday, including stage appearances each day, photos and autograph sessions; she will also participate in our evening guest receptions both nights, and will be doing an exclusive script reading on Saturday morning.  We are thrilled to welcome her back!
